A proportional approach to claims problems with a guaranteed minimum

چکیده
In distribution problems, and specifically in bankruptcy issues, the Proportional (P ) and the Egalitarian (EA) divisions are two of the most popular ways to resolve the conflict. Nonetheless, when using the egalitarian division, agents may receive more than her claim. We propose a compromise between the proportional and the egalitarian solutions by considering the restriction that no one receives more than her claim. We show that the most egalitarian compromise fulfilling this restriction ensures a minimum amount to each agent, and it can be interpreted as a process that works in two steps as follows: first, all agents receive an equal share up to the smallest claim (egalitarian distribution), and then the remaining estate (if any) is allocated proportionally to the remaining claims (proportional solution). Finally, we obtain that the recursive application of this process finishes at the Constrained Equal Awards solution (CEA).

A multi-stage stochastic programming for condition-based maintenance with proportional hazards model
Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) optimization using Proportional Hazards Model (PHM) is a kind of maintenance optimization problem in which inspections of a system relevant to its failure rate depending on the age and value of covariates are performed in time intervals. The general approach for constructing a CBM based on PHM for a system is to minimize a long run average cost per unit of time...
متن کاملGroup Decision Making based on a New Evaluation Method and Hesitant Fuzzy Setting with an Application to an Energy Planning Problem
In recent two decades, countries focused on minimum extraction of fossil fuels and utilized the renewable energies based on countries' policies and the environmental considerations. Thus, choosing the best renewable energy alternative is a significant role to investment on them. Among the classical decision approaches that have used in the literature, the hesitant fuzzy sets (HFSs) theory is ap...

Solving the Water conflict and optimal allocation of common water resources are the most important service of cooperative game theory to water economics. Zayandehrud basin is the most important disputed basin in several neighboring provinces in the first class basin of Iran's central plateau. The purpose of this research is to use the game theory with application of Bankruptcy approach (conflic...

This paper focuses on the non-fragile guaranteed cost control problem for a class of T-S fuzzy time-varying delay systems with local bilinear models. The objective is to design a non-fragile guaranteed cost state feedback controller via the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) approach such that the closed-loop system is delay-dependent asymptotically stable and the closed-loop performance i...

Based on the idea of Continuous Fuzzy Guidance Law (CFGL), a andldquo;three-phase fuzzy guidanceandrdquo; (TFG) law is proposed for the class of surface to air homing missiles. The current approach enables the guidance law to track a maneuvering target from the beginning of the launch phase up to the terminal one while itdynamically attempts to keep miss-distance, flight time and control effort...
